Search Spotlight

If you’re new here, every week I highlight active searches we’re working on at Right Hand, as well as 3 new job opportunities I came across recently where I share my honest feedback/thoughts on the role (sometimes these tear downs get spicy, ranging from mild 🌶️ to v v spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️).

Usually there is 1 search spotlight per issue by design, but we picked up 4 new searches last week and I want to make space here to feature them fully 😊

An interesting trend I’m seeing is that founders aren’t making either/or decisions with hiring an EA vs Chief of Staff — it’s a “both/and” decision. So while Right Hand is still focused on Chief of Staff placements, we’re picking up EA searches in parallel with CoS searches for which our clients engage us. So you might start seeing a few more EA roles come through here :)

Head of Product Operations/Chief of Staff @ Digital Health Startup

Our client is an early-stage digital health startup seeking an entrepreneurial professional with experience in digital health to join their team as the Head of Product Operations or Chief of Staff, depending on the candidate's experience.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in DTC digital health, healthcare, pharmacy, and telehealth operations. The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, a problem solver, and possess an owner mentality. They will play a crucial role in product implementation, development, customer service management, and operations coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and roll-out of new products and services, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.

  • Provide valuable feedback on product development and design, contributing to the continuous improvement of our offerings.

  • Manage customer service operations, ensuring high satisfaction and engagement levels.

  • Oversee operations across order fulfillment, labs, kitting, and the pharmacy supply chain, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Coordinate regulatory and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to healthcare standards and practices.

  • Support hiring initiatives, helping to build a team that shares our vision and values.

  • Work closely with the CEO and CPO, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Our client needs someone with an extreme ownership mentality who can thrive in an intense, extremely fast-paced environment. This role may not be for you if:

  • You’re not immediately responsive on Slack or over text

  • You're not hyper organized

  • You're not a process-based thinker

  • You're careless with details

  • You struggle with direct feedback


  • 3-7 years of experience in DTC digital health, healthcare, pharmacy, or telehealth operations.

  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, with a proven track record of solving complex problems and driving results.

  • Strong leadership qualities, with an owner mentality and a hunger for success.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in regulatory and compliance within the healthcare sector is highly desirable.

Chief of Staff to the Founder @ HoldCo

We are seeking an Executive Chief of Staff to support a dynamic and visionary entrepreneur.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner, managing and overseeing diverse projects ranging from retreat organization, real estate development in Costa Rica, a vehicle and construction rental business in Costa Rica, and course creation, to scaling a personal brand in the realms of conscious masculinity, personal growth, and entrepreneurial success. This role demands a high level of versatility, strategic planning abilities, and a commitment to facilitating growth and consciousness in both life and business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Management: Assist in developing and implementing business strategies to grow the Founder's brand, focusing on areas such as retreats, real estate, masterminds, coaching, courses, and community building.

  • Project Coordination: Oversee and manage various projects, ensuring they align with the overarching mission and vision. Projects may include event production, course development, real estate ventures in Costa Rica, and more.

  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline operations to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Ensuring the Founder is not spending his time on low-energy tasks and is working on creative, content, networking, and higher leverage areas of focus.

  • Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee the financial aspects of various projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability. Creating the right structure for fundraising for the retreat center (and other related businesses).

  • Content and Marketing Support: Collaborate in content creation, marketing strategies, and growth hacking to expand the Founder's brand's reach and impact.

  • Community Engagement: Foster and grow the community of entrepreneurs, ensuring engagement and value creation within the membership and mastermind groups.

  • Personal Support: Provide personal support to the Founder, including coordinating scheduling, travel arrangements, and managing personal projects in conjunction with his EA.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role (Chief of Staff, Chief Operating Officer) with a track record of managing complex projects and teams.

  • Prior experience successfully fundraising for a startup or other venture.

  • Experience working with a Creative Visionary Leader.

  • Strong understanding of the entrepreneurship and personal development industry.

  • Excellent organizational, strategic planning, and execution skills.

  • Proficient use of productivity tools (e.g. Notion) and CRM/marketing automation software (e.g. Hubspot)

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong financial acumen, experience with budget management, and experience with fundraising.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • High level of discretion and professionalism.

Executive Assistant @ CPG Startup

In your role as the Executive Assistant to the Founder, you'll be integral in maintaining the seamless execution of day-to-day tasks and the meticulous management of the Founder's agenda and interactions.

We're in search of someone who is exceptionally organized, capable of initiating activities independently, pays close attention to details, and is proactive by nature. The ideal candidate flourishes in a dynamic setting and is dedicated to achieving the highest standards in all responsibilities.

There is also a content creation aspect to the job responsibilities, so curiosity and a willingness to learn is paramount.


  • Email and calendar management, inbox triage, travel logistics

  • Content creation; assist in writing blogs and articles, scheduling monthly newsletters, proofreading

  • Content production; helping to set up podcast equipment and basic editing support for podcast clips (no prior experience necessary)

  • Social media; managing social media posts on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, and coordinating community management

  • Assisting with personal errands and miscellaneous tasks for the Founder whenrequested.

  • Managing office snacks and supplies through online platforms.

  • Coordinating virtual and in-person office celebrations such as anniversaries andbirthdays.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years experience as an Executive Assistant or similar admin role.

  • Strong project management skills
